Ayurvedic Moon Milk
Ayurvedic Moon Milk is a comforting warm drink that you could enjoy before going to bed for a good night’s sleep. Moon milk is a portion used in ancient Ayurvedic traditions as a remedy for sleeplessness. With the beautiful blend of Ausha Turmeric Powder, Ausha Pepper powder and Ausha Ashwagandha Powder this Moon milk can be adapted to suit your life-style. We have used Cow’s milk, but this can be made with any plant-based milk to suit Vegans.
- 3 cardamom pods
- 1-1.5 inch little cinnamon sticks
- 1-inch ginger chunk
- 1 tsp Ausha Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Manuka Honey
- 1 tsp of Ausha Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp of Ausha coconut Oil
- 1 Tbsp Ausha Ashwagandha powder
- 150 ml of suitable Milk (whole or semi-skimmed)
Bring the milk to boil with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and turmeric powder. Now add the Ausha pepper powder, Ausha Ashwagandha Powder, Manuka Honey and add Ausha coconut oil just before serving. Mix well and serve warm.
This is an Ayurvedic recipe which can be taken with or without coconut oil.
Pour it into a mug and enjoy it warm!
