Turmeric Raisin Rice with Oven Roasted Broccoli
Ingredients for Turmeric Raisin Rice:
- 2 tsp Avocado Oil
- 2 medium sized onions
- 2 garlic bulbs
- 50 g of jumbo raisins
- 1 tsp Ausha Turmeric Powder
- 150 g of uncooked Basmati Rice
- Himalayan Pink salt for taste
Ingredients for the Roasted Broccoli:
- 5-6 stem broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1tsp tandoori masala
- 1 tsp Ausha Pepper powder.
- 2 garlic bulbs finely chopped
Method for Turmeric Raisin Rice:
Start by heating the oil in a wide pan. Sauté the chopped onions and garlic for 5 minutes. Now, add in the raisins, Ausha Turmeric Powder and the rice and mix it for a minute. Pour some boiling water and salt to the pan and mix well. Close the lid and cook the rice mixture for 12 minutes approximately. Now turn off the heat and allow the rice to cook in the steam. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
Method for Roasted Broccoli:
In a bowl, mix up all the ingredients with a drizzle of olive oil and little lemon juice. Marinate the broccoli florets for 45 minutes, meanwhile preheat the oven at 200 degrees.Roast the broccoli mix for 20 minutes. Leave it for another five minutes until done.
